Earn College Credit Through ACT’s ACE-Approved CCMA Program

ACT News

We’re excited to share that our Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) program has been officially approved for college credit recommendation by the American Council on Education (ACE). This recognition reflects the academic rigor of our training and makes it possible for students to earn transferable college credit for completing the program.

Here, we’ll explain what ACE credit is, why it matters for your education, and what ACT’s approval means for your future.

What Is ACE Credit & Why Does It Matter?

The American Council on Education is a national leader in helping students earn academic credit for learning that happens outside of traditional college classrooms. ACE Learning Evaluations is a program that evaluates training courses, certifications, and workplace education programs to determine if they align with college-level learning standards.

When a program receives an ACE recommendation, it means that the curriculum has been reviewed and found to meet rigorous academic criteria. As a result, students who complete approved programs may be able to apply the recommended credits toward a college degree, saving time and money on their education.

ACE credit recommendations are widely recognized by colleges and universities across the United States. To help facilitate credit transfer, ACE provides students with access to a free digital transcript service, allowing learners to share their ACE-approved accomplishments directly with colleges and universities. It’s important to keep in mind that each school makes its own decisions about transfer credit, meaning it’s the student’s responsibility to understand their institution’s transfer policies.

For students in ACT’s Certified Clinical Medical Assistant training program, this means your learning may now earn you college credit.

ACT’s CCMA Program: Now Backed by ACE

We’re proud to officially announce that our CCMA program has officially received a college credit recommendation from ACE. This recognition marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, academically rigorous career training.

What does this mean for the students who enroll in this program? It means that your education isn’t just career-focused, it’s now also recognized for its academic value. Those who complete the program after September 1, 2025 are eligible to earn up to 6 transferable college credits, opening the door to further education in health sciences, nursing, healthcare administration, and many more concentrations.

Above all, it affirms that we deliver much more than the hands-on skills employers prioritize, but also the depth of learning that academic institutions respect.

How ACE Credit Benefits Students

In addition to earning college-level credit that supports your long-term educational goals, ACT’s ACE approval comes with several benefits, including:

  • Saving time on a degree — ACE credit recommendations can help you bypass equivalent college courses, which means you may be able to complete a degree more quickly. If your chosen college accepts the ACE credit, your work in the CCMA program could count toward general education or elective requirements.
  • Lowering the cost of education — By earning credit through our CCMA program, you could reduce the number of credits you need to pay for at a college or university.
  • Gaining flexible pathways to higher education — If you’re thinking about a future career in allied health, ACE credit gives you a transferrable foundation that can align with a variety of degrees, from nursing to physician assistant programs.
  • Standing out to admissions committees — Having ACE-recommended coursework on your transcript shows that you’ve completed college-level learning outside of traditional settings. This can help set you apart from other applicants during the application or transfer process.

Transfer Opportunities & Next Steps

One of the biggest advantages of ACE credit is the potential to apply it toward a degree at a participating college or university. But because each institution has its own credit transfer policies, taking a proactive approach is necessary.

At this time, ACT does not maintain a formal list of colleges and universities that accept ACE credit. Whether the credit from our CCMA course will be accepted depends on the school you choose to attend. Reach out to the registrar’s office, admissions office, or an academic advisor at the college or university you’re interested in (or already attend). Ask if they accept ACE credit recommendations and if your CCMA coursework might apply toward a specific degree.

For institutions that do accept ACE credit, we make it easy to share your achievements. Our partnership with Accredible enables you to generate and pass along transcripts that reflect credits earned as well as credential details.

Our Ongoing Commitment to Academic Excellence

Here at Advanced eClinical Training, we believe that career training should do more than just prepare students for the job market. It should also create real opportunities for academic growth and lifelong learning.

And with ACE credit now available, our learners have even greater flexibility to build on their achievements — whether that means pursuing a degree, transferring to a new institution, or qualifying for advanced credentials down the road.

This is just one example of how ACT continues to raise the bar for career-focused education. As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to expanding academic pathways and creating meaningful learning experiences that empower our students to achieve their career goals.
